Christopher | Dash and Albert Herringbone Stair Runner

A stair runner essentially consists of long carpets attached to the stairs to give the stairs a symmetrical and graceful look. The installation of stair runners on the stairs is an effective way to find peace, since children can get very loud when climbing and descending stairs. Stair runners can also be effective for safety reasons, since polished wooden stairs can be very slippery. Stair runners are available in 27-inch and 32-inch widths, which is the normal size of stairs in homes in the United States and is sold as a linear foot. The material used for stair runners is either wool or synthetic fibers, or sometimes a combination of both. There is a wide range to choose from, from plain colors to fancy designs. Occasionally, runners do not cover the entire width of the stairs. 4 inches of wood are visible on both sides, and the middle runner gives it a classy look. With a wider staircase, more wood is released by the runner. The contrast between the color of the runner and the wood will look good and the pattern of the railing will stand out. There are many options in terms of the length of the runner, but it usually ends under the lower tread and at the top at the rear of the upper tread. With narrow stairs, each staircase is laid out like a carpet and runs from the lower landing to the top. There must be some coordination between the hall carpet and the stairclimber to ensure continuity and symmetry.
